The Gotham Paranormal Research Society is a not-for-profit organization. We accept no money for our services and we all contribute our time on a volunteer basis. Our team is comprised of caring and responsible adult professionals of various backgrounds, sharing a love of history, the paranormal, and helping others. We are dedicated to historical location investigations and helping private homeowners and businesses that experience unexplainable occurrences at their locations. We use scientific methods to explain specific paranormal activity that our clients claim to be experiencing and try to find reasonable and natural explanations for these occurrences. We carefully evaluate claims of possible paranormal activity using the latest in technology and research. We have been an active proud member of the TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society) Family for over 9 years and our cases are kept private and confidential for the protection of our clients. Our group has been privileged to spend countless hours in many historic structures on Long Island as as well as many other locations outside of New York. We happily assist historical societies, business owners, and homeowners in learning more about their locations. Our investigations are conducted via client interviews, location tours, along with research, photography, video, audio, through the use of various specialized equipment. At no time do we ever dabble in occult practices or use Ouija boards. We do NOT hold séances. The team is comprised of responsible adults who volunteer their time, experience, and knowledge to help find an explanation as to what our clients are experiencing and whether it may or may not be related to paranormal activity. We take all our clients claims into consideration and never use a narrow minded approach. Our goal is to help our client the best way possible and providing alternate resources if need be. We are also history investigators, in which we visit and investigate known historical locations to try to experience and relive the history that had been experienced within the walls of these locations. We happily assist these locations in their ongoing fundraising efforts to help preserve these locations in various communities so that others can continue to visit and learn from for years to come. Being part of the TAPS Family network of teams allows us to collaborate and utilize our resources to help seek and share possible explanations with other specialists in the network to offer the best for our clients. There is NEVER a charge for our services and our client info is kept confidential to protect the privacy of our clients. We are the only TAPS Family team serving the NYC/Tri-State area and Long Island. In addition to private homes and historical locations, we also participate in many public events and fundraisers to try to provide help and guidance when needed and to give support to various community programs in need.
